 How to Apply

 

  1. Step 1: Gather Interested Farmers
    Form a group of at least 10 farmers who share a common vision of working together. This can include small, marginal, or large farmers.

  2. Step 2: Draft a Business Plan
    Create a clear plan outlining the objectives of the FPC, the type of produce you’ll focus on, and the operational strategy.

  3. Step 3: Register Your FPC
    Apply for registration under the Companies Act, 2013 as a Producer Company. This is done through the Registrar of Companies (RoC).

  4. Step 4: Submit Required Documents
    Prepare the necessary documentation (details below) and submit them along with the application form.

  5. Step 5: Obtain Certificate of Incorporation
    After verification, the RoC will issue a Certificate of Incorporation, officially recognizing the FPC.

  6. Step 6: Start Operations
    Once registered, the FPC can start functioning, manage collective farming, marketing, and access government support schemes.



Documents Required to Apply

For registering an FPC, you’ll need the following:

For Farmers (Members):

  1. Identity Proof:

    • Aadhaar Card (preferred)
    • Voter ID, Passport, or Driving License (alternative)
  2. Address Proof:

    • Electricity Bill, Ration Card, or any official proof of residence.
  3. Photographs:

    • Passport-sized photos of all members.
  4. Land Ownership Documents:

    • Records of landholding to confirm membership eligibility (if applicable).


For the Company Registration:

  1. PAN Card:

    • Permanent Account Number for the proposed FPC.
  2. Address Proof of Registered Office:

    • Electricity Bill, Property Tax Receipt, or Rental Agreement.
  3. Memorandum of Association (MoA):

    • Outlines the objectives and mission of the FPC.
  4. Articles of Association (AoA):

    • Describes the operating rules, membership details, and governance structure.
  5. Director Identification Numbers (DINs):

    • For all proposed directors (obtained via application).
  6. Digital Signature Certificates (DSCs):

    • For all directors, needed to e-file documents.
  7. Consent Letters from Directors:

    • Written consent from directors agreeing to take on the role.
  8. Proof of Business Plan or Project Report:

    • A document describing the FPC’s goals and strategy.
